Visual Design

These works are a combination of all the web design, visual information design, and UX design projects I have completed in my coursework at Winthrop. This very website is also a part of my visual deisgn portfolio, as the entire site was designed and programmed using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript by myself for a course project.

SchedBuilder: App Prototype

wireframe of multiple pages on an scheduling app prototype

The pupose of this project was to create a researched concept for an app that can help college students and build a wireframe prototype. My concept is SchedBuilder, an app that can intuitively create a block schedule based on task and event inputs to help keep people's lives, to-do list, and commitments organized. This project included a fully researched concept document, survey data, a user persona, a clickable wireframe prototype in Figma, and mulitple user tests. The entire process is documented in this document, and the Figma Prototype can also be accessed here.

One Page Design

This web design assigment was to complete a one-page website design in Figma about anything of your choice. We had one class period to complete it. I chose to make my design about Hollow Knight: Silksong, a game developed by Team Cherry that I was enjoying playing at the time. This design is not a redesign of the game's offical website, but rather a standalone site meant for informative purposes regarding a single topic.

Website Redesign

This project is a redesign of five pages from the band Magdalena Bay's official website, imaginaldisk.world. This project began with an audit to analyze the accessibility and usability of various sites, then creation of user personas, and then a wireframe redesign of five site pages made using Figma. I finished the design of each page in my own time after the assignment's completion.

Technophobia Inforgraphic Poster

This infographic poster was completed in Adobe Illustrator for a course project. The assigment was to create an informative poster about a chosen phobia, which in this case is technophobia, the fear of technology. This poster needed to include three charts/graphics, two icons that represent the phobia, and multiple statistics.

Home Show Poster

This poster was completed as part of a course in computer imaging. The main purpose of the project is to gain a better understanding of Adobe Illustrator, and it was one of the first projects I completed using this tool. The project includes a poster advertising a home show, as well as a smaller ticket design. Both required a shared digital recreation of a house as well as an original pattern design.
